The Dutch are particularly known for strong graphic design. So it’s interesting to see a strong graphic quality in young designer Antoine Peter’s special project for cult shoe company United Nude.
These stunning boots are from the special Sharpei product line, named after the saggy dog in reference to the boot’s baggy comfortable fit towards the upper calf, in contrast with the sleek fit in the lower part of the boot. All this, of course makes for both good product design and a fashionable look: easy to pull on when running from A to B.
And there is something very much about running from A to B in the stunning graphic design with its forward thrusting arrows. The blue and red palette has something reminiscent of the heyday for airline corporate design about it. Is it just me or is there something of the sexy air hostess on the move from a 1970’s film about them?
Known primarily for their comfortable healthy fit and architectural structuring United Nude has a growing portfolio of interesting projects at all ends of the fashion market. The Antoine Peters project joins similar collaborations with mainstream brands like K-Swiss and the provocative Chinese photographer 223.
